THE FINAL PRODUCT!!!!

Story:

Erica took a gigantic breath in. She was so nervous that she forgot to exhale for several seconds.
- Quit it Erica or I'll buck you off, your even making me nervous- Dreamer snapped at her rider. Erica exhaled and pat the mare.
-Sorry bout that Dreamer. Please don't buck me off- Dreamer snorted and shook her head.
-Fine-

Erica managed to let out a strained laugh. Her attention was drawn to the dressage ring where riders were preforming. She swallowed nervously. There was not really anyone as young as she was. Was she the youngest here? Probably. The 16 year old tapped her saddle with her fingers anxiously.

Suddenly she was jolted forwards. Erica was barely able to stay in the saddle.
-What was that for!- she asked the horse mentally. Dreamer snorted.
-I warned you, which is more than I normally do!- the bad tempered mare replied. Erica rolled her eyes. She saw her younger cousin and best friend Zoi walking towards her along with the manager of her stables Emma.
"How you holding up?" Emma asked. Erica shrugged
"I've been better." she replied. "How many away am I?"
"Two" Zoi replied. Erica's breathing quickened. She felt a hand on her boot. She looked down to see Cassie looking at her.
"You can do it Erica" Cassie said with a smile. Erica returned her smile.
-You think we can do it?- She asked the 15.2hh mare. Dreamer snorted.
-Of course, I can do it. You just better hang on- she replied stomping her foot.

Within moments she heard her number called. Slowly, almost sluggishly she gathered her reins and gently nudged the mare forwards. Dreamer lurched forwards, obviously much more ready than her young rider. Once again Erica took a very very deep breath.

Cross Country:
Erica and Dreamer cantered through the difficult course. The chestnut mare strained at the bit, begging Erica to let her go faster.
-Settle down Dreamer, we have a long way to go- she said mentally to her horse. Dreamer let out a small buck in protest but otherwise didn't say anything. Erica looked up to the sky and growled under her breath. She didn't like the look of the weather. Storm clouds threatened to unloose havoc over the cross country course. She desperately hoped the weather would wait.

Dreamer flew over the jumps with ease. Despite her size the mare leapt into the air, very careful not to touch the solid jumps. Suddenly a fat raindrop splat directly on Dreamer's nose, causing the mare to shake her head.
-Thats not a good sign.- the horse said to her rider. Erica said nothing, only registering her mount's comment with a quick but reassuring pat on her horse's shoulder.

Within seconds the rain became so vicious that Erica could hardly see in front of her. For once her horse was calm beneath her. The rain having a soothing affect on the normally extremely excitable mare. The pair tore past the crowd, a sea of umbrellas seemed to open up.

Dreamer did nothing. The pair was in complete unison. No communication passed between horse and rider, they were simply riding. The entire world could be falling apart but for that instant both Erica and Dreamer would not've noticed.

They were in perfect harmony.

Show Jumping :

Story:

-Lets go!- Dreamer demanded pawing the ground impatiently. Erica sighed, as nudged the horse into the large outdoor arena. She was blinded by light before finally being able to see the large crowd unfold in front of her. She nervously bit her lip as she asked her mare to canter. Dreamer pricked her ears as Erica steered her to the first jump, straining against the bridle. To all ears you could hear Erica murmur a woah to her mount, giving a slight half halt. Dreamer's ears shot backwards in true Dreamer fashion as she launched herself over the jump, her takeoff much too close to the jump. Erica was momentarily left behind but managed to regain her balance.
-I had that Erica! Now I need to fix this!- Dreamer yelled at the girl mentally.
-Sorry Dreamer, nerves. I'm fine now. Lets do this!- Erica replied, newly composed. She kicked Dreamer up to the next gear and raced towards the next jump. They flew. Erica let out a laugh of pure joy as they navigated through the course.
-I can fly!-

From the stands:

The members of Ferguson Stables watched anxiously as Erica entered the arena. Hunter sat in a ball on his seat, physically unable to watch. Emma looked at Erica and bit her lip.
"She looks really nervous" she said to Hunter who did not reply.
"She better get out of that if she's going to do well" Cindy replied from the other side of Hunter, her eyes locked on Erica and Dreamer. She watched as the young girl pointed her mount to the first jump.
"What is she doing!?" Cindy gasped as she watched Erica half halt the mare. The blonde's heart leaped out of her chest as the mare had to put in extra effort to clear the jump. She breathed a sigh of relief when Erica landed safely on the other side. "Is she stupid!?"
Emma relaxed, she could see from Erica's expression that Erica had composed herself.
"She'll be alright. She's awake now" Emma said with a laugh. Cindy looked at Emma like she had grown an extra arm. Emma was laughing! Now!?

Cindy sighed and resumed watching Erica's every move. Erica galloped right by them!
"Go!" she couldn't help yell at the girl. Cindy coached the rider from the sidelines, though her voice probably lost amongst the sea of people. All of the riders of Ferguson Stables watched as Erica learnt to fly.
